Procurement Operations Improvement Analyst

A new opportunity has risen within our client. This is a 12 months contract in Montreal.

Purpose of the Role:

This role will play a key part in the process improvement aspects of Atlantic procurement and will advise and recommend initiatives. It consists of two major functions: Reporting and analytics.

Objectives are to:
Develop, coordinate & consolidate reports
Work to reduce variation, shorten cycle times and eliminate waste in the procurement process
Improve transparency, consistency and efficiency of reporting (spend, budget and cost savings projects)
Improve spend analytics to identify savings and opportunities within processes and systems
Provide project management of initiatives by preparing status updates and score cards

In this role you will:
Extract, manipulate and interpret data from procurement and project management systems (Ariba & SAP)
Extract and cosolidate information from a wide range of stakeholders
Use Data to analyze and present business recommendations
Conduct analysis and spend tracking to support the category teams
Develop tools to measure supplier and system performance
Drive effectiveness & efficiency in procurement processes and report both internally and externally with suppliers
Develop and enhance reporting systems; create and deliver insights in written and presentation formats

5+ years of experience in a similar role
3+ years of Procurement & Inventory experience
Extensive experience working with SAP & Ariba
Strong analytical and quantitative skills including data modeling; strong Excel proficiency
Ability to analyze complex data to provide meaningful interpretations and actionable recommendations
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to drive change within the procurement organization
Experience working effectively across teams outside formal lines of authority to deliver results
Proactive, driven and self-starter type personality is a must
Strong English verbal and written communication skills; French language strongly preferred
