Experies is looking for SME - Waste Management for one of its Oil & Gas client in Calgary.

Job Duration : 6 months and extension

Job Location : Calagry

Job Detail : An oil and gas industry expert on waste management process is required for a discovery phase of our clients systems determination initiative.

The intent of this initiative is to implement a process and tool(s) that will allow the client to demonstrate compliance in its waste characterization, classification and waste shipping (tracking) activities during the generation, transportation and disposal of wastes. The tool(s) should allow for less manual activities and have workflow to ensure all elements are completed to meet regulatory and the clients requirements. The terms and description of waste materials should be standardized. Processes should be reinforced for upstream & downstream operations. The objectives of the initiative are to:

>Define, select, implement and roll-out a process and tool(s) that will allow the client to demonstrate waste management compliance in the generation of shipping documents, waste tracking, reconciliation and reporting.
>Secure an IT Solution to provide an easy, auditable, and dependable system to track transportation of all waste from cradle (drilling) to grave (waste receiver) for the end client.
>Establish clear accountabilities for waste manifesting.
>Allow oversight for compliance assurance in the preparation and use of shipping documents and tracking of waste by corporate responsibility and exploration and production services.
>Replace a heavily manual process to document and track waste that is not being consistently followed and is subject to high error rate; which exposes the client to the risk of regulatory noncompliance, increased exposure during a loss of containment incident and enforcement actions.
>Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
>Develop waste reporting capabilities and KPIs in support of corporate reporting standards.
>Meet the waste data needs of the clients procurement team to support contract negotiations with waste haulers and waste receivers.
>Meet the waste data needs of the clients Upstream Air team to support air emissions estimations for Federal GHG reporting.
